The Night of Fire was a massive disaster that took place on Earth, Humanity's and the Solarian Confederation's origin planet. It is described as the single most devastating event in the history of the Earth, leading to the annihilation of the then existing human civilization, and the near-full destruction of old human culture. It is the largest turning point in humanity's history, directly leading to the creation of the Solar Confederation. There are few surviving records on the incident, and many accounts of it are contradictory.
