  • Supermatter, tesla and singularity engines
  • Large construction area
  • Advanced engineering tools

The Lugol is what you get when you give a GEC eccentric a vast budget, and a vaster imagination. Well-equipped to house all kinds of engineering projects, on varying degrees of insanity.

Gameplay

The Lugol-class GEC Engineering Project, as its name implies, is designed for engineering projects - its most notable feature being a large empty space in its fore. This space is designed for all kinds of engineering projects, from singularities to cement-fueled supermatters. Within the construction area, is a tight storage space containing all you need for your engineering endeavors. This includes:

  • 100 metal, 150 glass, 50 metal rods, 20 reinforced plasma glass, 50 wooden planks, 20 plastitanium, 20 plasteel and 50 plastic
  • 4 emitter boards, 4 tesla coil boards, 4 radiation collector boards, 4 grounding rod boards, 4 thermomachine boards, 2 SMES boards
  • An RPED
  • 2 boxes of stock parts, 5 high capacity power cells
  • 3 industrial RCDs, 3 large matter cartridges
  • 4 field generators, a singularity generator, a tesla generator, and an unassembled particle accelerator
  • 2 nitrogen canisters, 1 plasma canister

The Lugol also features full engineering R&D, and a large atmos area. The atmos room contains all base gases, a mixing chamber, and an atmos harvester - linked together with a complex series of pipes. The atmos department is also geared to deal with dangerous engineering catastrophes, with firesuits, holofans, large scrubbers, advanced extinguishers, and no sense of self-preservation.

The source of many plasma fires.

What Roles?

The roles that can be selected aboard the Lugol-class are as follows:

How Should I Pilot This?

The Lugol is best suited for low-temperature planets with a wide variety of gases, to make the most use out of its atmos harvester, and any heat exchanging contraptions your engineers might construct. Safety-minded Project Leaders may seek to trade with medical vessels for more sophisticated radiation medicine. As with the Box-class, the Lugol is not equipped for fighting, and its abundant resources and limited mobility make the Lugol a lucrative pick for pirates. Should the threat of pirates arise, consider hiring Inteq mercenaries to defend your ship - or booby trap it with disposal traps and burning plasma.
